Experience
Writers/Research Intern at Saturday Night Live
September 2011 – Present
Production Assistant at Nantucket Comedy Festival
July 2011 – July 2011 (1 month)
Assisted with various aspects of the festival including copy editing official documents, manning information booths, helping on film shoots, etc.
Assistant Stage Manager at Clubbed Thumb
May 2011 – June 2011 (2 months)
As ASM I aided the Stage Manger in rehearsals and during the run of the production of Our Lot by Kristin Newbom and W. David Hancock. This included recording actor blocking, communicating with different departments (i.e. costumes, set design, lighting, etc.) on the Stage Manager’s behalf, and tracking the many important props. The show was extremely prop-heavy and so the majority of my time was devoted to making sure the seventy-seven different props were in the right place at the right time during the show.
Intern at Clubbed Thumb
June 2010 – August 2010 (3 months)
Clubbed thumb is an off-off Broadway theater that is devoted to producing new, unique works. I assisted with their month long Summerworks play festival in June – working with the stage crew for several shows, loading and transporting equipment, assembling and striking the various sets, and other general work. After the festival I read various unsolicited scripts, which I would analyze and
recommend to the artistic director to pursue or discard. In August I was a script supervisor and researcher for Clubbed Thumb’s production of Roadkill Confidential by Sheila Callaghan (published playwright and writer for United States of Tara).
